We've been working hard to make Claverack a clean energy community.
As a result of our work, including installation of an electric vehicle charging station at the Claverack Library, creation of a benchmarking policy to track and report the energy use of the Town's buildings, conducting energy code training and more, the Town of Claverack has been designated a "Clean Energy Community" by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
This designation resulted in the recent award of $5,000 to the town to be used on a clean energy project. The grant award cited our leadership in reducing energy use, cutting costs and driving clean energy locally.
Claverack is working.... and doing so in an environmentally friendly way!
