Claverack is fortunate to have such experienced, dedicated, and effective leaders managing the town’s affairs and representing the views of our townspeople on the Town Board, at the Town Clerk’s Office, and at the Highway Department. None more so than Councilman Stephen Hook.
Known to many as “Hookie,” Stephen gives much of himself to the Town of Claverack. Virtually every day, all day, you’ll find Stephen working on town business in one way or another. He embodies the true spirit of public service. Whether it be his duties as Deputy Town Supervisor and Councilman — overseeing the day-to-day operations of the town, his community volunteering — cooking at firehouse barbecues and helping at public events, or just the little things that he does for people that mean so much — like helping to clear snow from an elderly resident’s driveway, or answering a residents call for help to carry oxygen bottles into the house for her loved one who was ailing, Hookie is always there for people. He goes above and beyond for the community, his family and his many friends.
Stephen has done an outstanding job as Deputy Town Supervisor and Town Councilman these past four years. He is very deserving of reelection.
We encourage all Claverack residents to vote for Town Supervisor Kippy Weigelt, Town Councilmen Stephen “Hookie” Hook and Brian Keeler, Town Clerk Mary Jeanne Hoose, and Town Highway Superintendent Louie Lamont on Election Day – Tuesday, Nov. 7.
